Singita Grumeti Reserves offers an absolutely unique and exclusive safari destination bordering the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania.

This 340 000 acre (140 000 hectare) private concession comprises three luxury lodges which are all very different, yet boast the same high levels of luxury and sophistication.

Each of these spectacular locations is positioned ideally on the renowned migratory route traversed annually by more than a million wildebeest.

Sasakwa Lodge, the flagship in the exclusive trio of luxury leisure properties of Singita Grumeti Reserves. Perched on a hilltop with awe-inspiring views of the Serengeti plains, the lodge is built in the style of an 1900’s East African ranch house with dramatic chandeliers, leather and sparkling crystal adding plush opulence to ten deluxe cottages.

An exceptional sense of place meets a blissful African feel, tweaked with a fine streak of eccentricity in the lavish air-conditioned suites, ranging in size from one to four bedrooms, each with its own unique charm and complete privacy. Guests can indulge in the relaxed romance of a fireplace, a heated infinity pool touching the wheat coloured savanna and stargazing through a Swarovski telescope from a private veranda.

Whilst Sasakwa is essentially luxurious, Sabora Camp offers elegant simplicity and laid-back romance. Situated on the flatness of the Serengeti plains the camp has been designed around a 1920’s style. Beautifully decorated with European finery and ethnic artifacts, nine lavish tents evoke a sense of adventure where soft canvas separates you from the wild while cocooned in the most luxurious creature comforts.

Situated on a slope, basking in the abundance of animal species and birdlife around it, Singita Faru Faru Lodge lends a contemporary signature style to safari. Inspired by a botanical theme, this riverside lodge offers barefoot elegance in a laid-back rustic setting. The organic lines of two rim-flow swimming pools echo those of a watering hole that lies just below. The elevated viewing decks over the watering hole allow guests to view game without even leaving their lodge, and a Swahili-inspired beach offers the opportunity for some serious rest and relaxation. The contrast of stone and canvas against cutting-edge design and comfortable furnishings is integrated in eight open-style suites and one Villa Suite.

With a mild, temperate climate, quintessential savannah scenery and only three lodges on an area almost the size of the Mara National Park, Singita Grumeti Reserves is an absolutely unique and exclusive destination.

In addition to exceptional game drives and walks, other activities offered at the lodges include; archery, tennis, hot-air ballooning, horseback game viewing, billiards, fully equipped spas and gyms, mountain biking and a jogging track.

* Sasakwa Lodge is a member of Relais & Chateaux.
